Suck some air out of hose. Needs negative pressure when empty. You can try to fill basin up to max fill level. Disconnect hose to let pressure bleed off. Drain, and you should be set

It is usually caused by worn Clutch Dogs or a fault with the Gearbox. It is a messy job and requires special tools. Call for service. Or depending on age, buy a new energy efficient front loader. Less water, electricity and detergent.

You need to replace the machine. Most parts are no longer available and the part that is likely to be faulty is not even listed on the schematic! The type of machine has a mechanical timer. If you can get into the top unit, you could try spraying some WD40 into any gaps you can see in the lump at the back of the main control knob. Older models are easy. Connect the 2 wires together and bi pass the switch. Some washer use magnets if so do the same. I’m not sure about new washers.
