I would take it apart and clean it myself. After all someone put that door together in the first place. I don't think that it would mess anything up because there isn't any electrical in the door and as long as you put it back the same way it came apart it will be just fine. Take pictures as you go so you don't forget anything along the way. Good luck!!!!

the self cleaning lever (that locks the door) is moved to the clean position. try moving it to clean then back to the off position and that should fix it.

Ouch. The glass top does have to be replaced but I just ran the partial model number on your range and if you're at the comp. I hope you are sitting down. Replacing it not bad. Purchasing tho is rediculous. Retail suggested price just for the top is 600.00. Rediculous pricing but GE is like that sometimes. Sorry but repairing the glass is not possible and getting it from a glass shop isn't either. Sorry for the not so good news. Rick

So F71 does mean that your touchpad is failing or one of the buttons is sticking. Try to unplug the oven and use a hair dryer to heat up the touchpad. Rub the buttons with your thumb in case one of them is sticking and then let the unit cool down. Plug the oven back in and if you still get an F71 error, the only thing you can do is replace the touchpad

Have you checked inside it? Most of my appliances have envelopes containing schematic diagrams tucked inside them at the factory.

Modern ovens are much slower to preheat than older models. In some cases it is because they only use the bake (lower) element, while the older units used both the bake and the grill (upper) elements to preheat. If this is a new condition of your oven, check for malfunctioning oven element(s). A loose or intermittently non-functioning element will create a slow heat-up.
