Hi, We have a GE Model JBP95 electric range (self cleaning & ceramic cook top). Just after a cleaning cycle, we found that one of the two small sheet metal screws (3/16" dia self tapping screw) that hold the oven vent fixture in place, inside the oven, had fallen out. On closer examination, I discovered that the oven liner had corroded where the screw was inserted, it had left a 17/64" hole. The oven is vented through a round ceramic piece, possibly a flame arrester(?), that was held in place by two 3/16" screws. The range is in excellent condition, I was surprised to find corrosion. I want to replace the fastener to plug the small hole that now exists in the top of the oven, and want to avoid risk of anything else falling into food. Problem is that the metal of the oven liner may be thin at that spot, and would require either a large self tapping screw or access to the top of the oven liner to install a stainless nut and screw that would be the best fix. What do you recommend?

Recently told that we should not use the self cleaning. This is the 2nd time in 7 yrs that the heating coil has caught on fire and burned out. Had to have someone come and replace the first coil and was costly. Please advise. Can not use the oven again.

It seems to take forever for our oven to heat up. Heats up faster on convection than on bake, but is still quite slow (maybe 30 minutes to 400 or 450?). Sometimes it seems it just won't get there. Only other oddity is a difference in temperature when the oven is on bake or convection - about right on on convection, and 25 degrees too cool on bake. And from reading other responses, I don't seem to have any bottom element. Model JBP95BF1BB
