How do you clear or repair an F2 code ?

F2 indicates that temperature inside the oven has gotten to high. It can be the sensor or the board. The sensor should read around 1000 ohms at room temperature if not it is bad. If it checks ok replace the board. Here is the sensor to order if you should find it bad. Here is the board if it is bad.

GE Spectra Range JBP84D

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com.

It looks like you may have a bad Infinite switch. It controls the complete oven for bake, broil, and self cleaning. Remove all wires from the switch terminals. Set the infinite switch on high and place your ohmmeter on the L2, H2, P and H1 terminals to check for continuity. If there is no continuity between L1 and H1 or between L2 and H2, the infinite switch is defective. If there is no continuity between P and H1, the indicator light circuit is defective. Remove the infinite switch by removing the screws or nuts that hold it in place and install a new infinite switch by following the disassembly instructions in reverse order. You will not be able to find it at lowest; you will need to order it from a supply house. You can order this part at the following locations online... WWW.APWAGNER.COM, or WWW.REPAIRCLINIC.COM, or WWW.PARTSTORE.COM. All 3 of these places are a good place to order your parts because of their liberal return policy.

Please get back to us if you have any further query.

Have a nice day.

JBP84TOHWW GE Electric Range Large Dual Element Not Working

similar problem after a power outage. Display would be blank until I turned ON an element (after which display would light, but no power to the respective element. No elements would heat even thought the dial shows power). Turning OFF the element would blank the display. I reseated the power cord and cycled the 50a basement breaker for 5 mins. Everything now works, but not sure for how long.

No power

I have the same model. After a recent power outage, the display completely lit then went blank. Turnign on one of the elemetns would pwoer up the display (clock). turning off the element would turn OFF the display. I pulled out the stove and reseated the power plug. I also reset the 50a breaker in the basement for 5 mins. When I put everything back in place, it worked. I'm not sure if this is coincidence or not. I'm guessing it's short term and I'll see the problem again, but for now... I had sticker shock when I looked at the price of new repalcements. I don't expect problems with a 4 year old appliance.

Lower elment not working

The lower element is known as the bake element. It is controlled by a bake relay on the control board. Either the relay on the control board has failed, or the element has failed. The most common fail is the element itself. The following link explains how to replace a heating element (if required):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r469407-replacing_bake_or_broil_element_in

If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement bake element is WB44T10011. You purchase replacement parts at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this help you.
