It is also a precaution against burns from touchinghot surfaces of the door or oven walls. Thelowest position is not designed to slide.n Do not heat unopened food containers. Pressure could build up and the containercould burst, causing an injury.n Never use aluminum foil to line the ovenbottom. Improper use of foil could start a fire and result in high carbon monoxide.n Do not use aluminum foil anywhere in theoven except as described in this manual.Misuse could result in a fire hazard ordamage to the range.n When using cooking or roasting bags in theoven, follow the manufacturers directions.n Do not use your oven to dry newspapers. If overheated, they can catch fire.n Use only glass cookware that isrecommended for use in gas ovens.n Always remove the broiler pan from range as soon as you finish broiling. Grease left inthe pan can catch fire if oven is used withoutremoving the grease from the broiler pan.n When broiling, if meat is too close to theflame, the fat may ignite. Trim excess fat toprevent excessive flare-ups.n Make sure the broiler pan is in placecorrectly to reduce the possibility of grease fires.n If you should have a grease fire in the broilerpan, press the CLEAR/OFF pad, and keep the oven door closed to contain fire until it burns out.n For safety and proper cooking performance,always bake and broil with the oven doorclosed.Stand away from the range when opening the door of a hot oven.
