Replacing ERC on GE oven
I ran into the same problem replacing my new part. The instructions indicated that the GROUND wasn't used. The Nuetral was located in near the same position. The L1B went to the little black box near the vacant L1B location on the board

New replacement part WB27T10272 for
The instructions as follows the GROUND not used. The Neutral located in near the same position. The L1B goes to the little black box near the vacant L1B location on the board.------
There is an L1B stamped on lower right corner of purple housing just below numbers 04400.
-----
On the instruction sheet it tells you to plug in the wire L1A but it is supposed to be L1B. L1A is marked on the board where it is supposed to go.

Hi! Our 1991 GE
Use a ohm meter to test the sensor, it should read about 1100 ohms at room temperature, if so, then your oven sensor is good i realize you just bought one but test it anyway sometimes they can be defective heres something else you can do pull the whole unit out test that you have power going in to the machine see the power lead going into the board test it there as well then find the bake lead leaving the board check to see if you have power there as well as the broil lead assure that you u have power there as well if either of these two leads do not have power then you have a defective control and ive seen them come right from the factory plenty of times if you do have power going to each lead coming off the board then down to the bake element and the broil element and if you do have it there turn off your breaker and do continuity tests on both your elements this is how you would find out where your problem is coming from if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again Rick

Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. It seems that you interrupted the self clean cycle in
between or you ran the self cleaning cycle after a long time, as these kind of issues are usually caused due to these reasons. The issue is with
the latch assembly going bad and should be replaced. Please accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
