Dv3 black screen hp

Common issue with AMD based hp laptops. Before doing any of the following from this point, please remove the ac adapter and battery from the unit. Remove the battery and try to power on with the ac adapter. With the battery and ac adapter removed, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to a 1 minutes. We are trying to remove all the excess power from the computer, remember capacitors can still hold power. Now power on the computer with the battery and ac adapter. Remove the ram and reinsert the ram. Sometimes the memory somehow manages to get a bit loose overtime. Try to power on the unit and see if turns on. Try to connect to an external monitor to determine if its hardware issue by just connecting only with power adapter. If it works, then its screen and screen connection issue. If it doesn't work, then its motherboard/video problem.

STOP: 0x00000034 blue screen error,

It is normal, after a C:\ drive format, to lose all your information from that partition, including last known configuration and system restore points. If you weren't able to enter Windows 7 Ultimate do a clean reinstall. Also, immediately after Windows installation, install the latest drivers.
If something else happened, please let me know so I can tell you what to do.

Problem with HP dv3 power cables.

Sounds like the charging board may be malfunctioning/shorting out inside the laptop itself causing these ac adapter failures. You really need to have it looked at before other it causes you motherboard to fail or any components connected to it.The power jack may be shorting as well which is attached to the motherboard

There are some items that will need to be updated to the new OS. I am including a link to HP's website. I would look at the driver section (there is new drivers for the quick launch), and the software solutions. In fact since these will be the most updated driver and software patchs for Windows 7, I would probably download most of it. Hope this helps and fixes the glitches you seem to be having.

How do I access the fan on an HP Pavilion DV3

Honestly, try harder. If you've taken the thing apart, you're more than half way there. You probably just need to unscrew more stuff and pry more parts out.

The display driver could have crashed, try holding the power button until the lights go off, and the hard drive powers down (you can hear the spinning stop) then try to power it back on. If that doesn't work, do a hard reset, which would be unplugging it from any AC power, and removing the battery and then reconnecting the battery before powering it on. Should this not work, i would say it's safe to assume the backlight is non functioning and a replacement would have to be ordered.

I can't open my dvd-drive.

If you have put a pin in the little hole next to the open button, and tried to right click your drive and eject that way, the motor may have burned out. Its not uncommon for this to happen. Overuse or abuse can cause this. You can get this fixed a few ways. Take it into a repair shop and have them replace the motor. Or get an external DVD/CD drive. On average they go for around $60 for a decent one.

Bsod 0x00000034

Check the size of Random Access Memory (RAM) in your computer. Its small size could be the reason for this problem as many of today's software need large amount of memory to operate in smooth manner. Additional RAM will also increase the efficiency of your computing particularly for gaming.
• Excessive use of computer or a malfunctioning cooling system can make computer/laptop overheated. Whenever system is heated, its efficiency will go down. BSOD is one possible consequence of over heated system. Keep fan of your computer in fully functional mode.
• Registry is the most vital part of Win 7. Corrupt registry is the biggest reason for BSOD in Win 7. One way is to clean registry manually but manual tricks could wreck your system completely if you are not a top notch computer expert. More appropriate way is to buy a good registry cleaner reginout and PC optimizer

How do i turn off zoom function of synaptics touch pad Hp laptop

Are you talking about the two finger zoom by spreading your fingers apart on the touchpad to zoom out or pinching them together to zoom back in?
This works for Dell touch pads so below where it says ‘Dell touchpad’ it probably says HP touchpad?

· Goto your control panel
· Click on ‘Mouse’
· Click on the ‘Dell touchpad’ tab
· On the resultant popup screen, double click on the main touch pad region
· Click on the ‘gestures’ setting
· Uncheck the zoom
Good luck…Chris
