Acer aspire 1690 laptop can't complete the

blue screen in XP is usually due to hardware issues. Did you add or change hardware? By now, probably your only solution is to repair windows XP by putting in the XP setup disk and get to repair. If you do the install, it will format your hard drive and you will lose your programs and files.

I try to get into the Big Fish Games site and it

Go to this page and you should be able to click on forgot password and get your account information.

https://susi.bigfishgames.com/login.php?cookietest&l=btIODOS7ylaKjzae1N-Dweu3ix_B0Z_yREWmzsAESLFv5t0sTf1NpIveBcZinGvq&ol=5LwovF2iCnEfLLGM5g6mtQ&sid=ob0U59AHSo0VUjTgV6Kypw&lid=PoDP52MIOkV7s-Dms7MRZg

If that doesn't do the trick then you'll have to email them cause they don't have a phone number to contact them with:

Either way they should be able to at least give you your login information or reset your account again.

Forgot my password

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ http://67.20.82.163/

My Acer One AOA150 was restored to factory specs.

I have been through this scenario with four different clients (I have one of these machines, but have not had the problem as yet...using XP) and all have been running Win7 Starter. The camera suddenly disappears from the hardware profile completely. Suggestions to "uninstall/reinstall" and update the driver for what should be showing as an unrecognized USB device won't work, because it simply doesn't show up at all. BIOS fixes, chipset driver fixes, and restoring the OS have not worked, and Acer support has been singularly unhelpful...even resistant to admitting there is an issue (there are literally hunderds of postings of similar problems). Sorry for the bad news of this response, but that's how it is. My most recent client just bought a USB clip-on camera and at least now they have capability. Best regards.

How to i get a wireless wap key for my netbook

The WPA key is the encryption key to secure the wireless router from unauthorized access.
You do not need this key to connect into free wi-fi hotspots at the airport, MacDonalds, Starbucks etc. When you detect these wi-fi sites you can just click the connect button.

No icons on desktop

try to start in safe mode As the PC start tap F8 until a menu appears then choose safe mode If that works you could try the following
  1. do a system restore to a date before you hade the problem start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore
  2. If that does not resolve the issue - try a clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 see if that fixes it- if it does - then we need to work out which startup file or process is causing the issue

Think i picked up a trojan virus

This could be a number of problems, one or many. Some things to consider

1) You may be infected with a virus or a bunch of spyware. Do you have Antivirus and antispyware utilities? I recommend AVG and Spybot.

2) You may have a bad hard drive. Try booting into safe mode and run a dskchk and/or defrag.

3) You may have some faulty memory. Boot into safe mode and right click on "My Computer" click properties and make sure you have the right amount of RAM listed in this area. If not you may need to replace your memory.

Can you change my acer laptop from Japanese to

If you are running windows, you can open up your control pannel (in classic mode...easier) then double click the icon named "Regional and Language options" (Which if your OS is in Japanese and can't understand the words, it's the icon with the picture of the world, and a clock.) Double click on that icon, then the first drop down menu has all the languages your OS supports.

My account administator password was changed and

1. Place your Windows XP CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (it’s assumed here that your XP CD is bootable – as it should be - and that you have your bios set to boot from CD)
2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd”
3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now
5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.
6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”
Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP installation (if you only have one, it should already be selected) and press R to begin the Repair process.
7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which can take several minutes.
8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”
9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.
10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.
11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. Voila! You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.
12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on without being asked for password. After you’ve made your changes close the windows, exit the command box and continue on with the Repair (have your Product key handy).
13. Once the Repair is done, you will be able to log on with your new password (or without a password if you chose not to use one or if you chose not to be asked for a password). Your programs and personalized settings should remain intact.

Hope this will helps you..Thank you....
