I have a midea MPK-10CR.

Hi,
Many times this unit seems like it is running just fine, but in fact it has a problem...
Most have a freeze sensor that will shut down the unit if the evaporator coil gets too cold...
Now that problem can be caused by a couple of things...

A dirty filter or evaporator coil...
Low freon charge...in this case you have a leak somewhere in the refrigeration system...
Freeze sensor thermistor (probe) or circuit board are bad....
Fan motor not running full speed.....

These are the most common reasons why your A/C would run for a few minutes and then shut down...

No water comming into machine

On a portable AC, the only way water can be distributed is by a pump which pumps the water out of the collector tank. Chances are that the impellor inside the pump has stripped or is slipping, therefore not pumping the water. ( that is , I am assuming , this model is an evaporative type cooler?? ) if it is a refrigerated type, there shouldnt be any need for water , however , it will have a condensate pan which catches the water produced by the refrigeration cycle.

Midea MPK-10CR air conditioner "P2"

If the drip line is raised too high, sometimes the level inside will exceed the trip-point for the pan-level.

Try lowering the drip line so the water runs 'downhill' the whole way. If it still occurs, the sensor in the pan may be stuck.
