Panasonic KX-T7020 Corded Phone Questions & Answers
Will not allow ringing or answering
Check it in another location on a different phone outlet that you know is working. It's more likely to be a faulty socket or a break in the cord which goes to the socket from the phone. Let us know what happens

All phones ring with intercom
Panasonic systems are pretty forgiving, so power cycle the Key Service Unit. It will either work or not. If it works, you may have to reprogram the system, if it doesn't, it's probalby fried.
The TA-824 is the current analog system. It has a street price of about $250.

I have the KX-T7020. How
Here's a guess. Is the 7020 the one with 16 buttons? If so, they are marked CO 1-12 and F1-4. You program them by putting the phone in PROG from the switch on the back of the phone, then press the button and 1. If it's a F button, dial 9 + number and STORE. If it's a CO button dial 29 + number and STORE.
If you're talking SYSTEM speed dial numbers, those are done from the display phone at jack 01 and putting the system in programming.

No dial tone at all
Did you swap it with another phone? The 7020 requires a 4-pin base cord and a port on the phone system. The sound comes from the inner pair of the cable, the data (lights on the set) from the second pair. You could have a bad cable, bad wiring, bad handset, handset cord, or bad base on the phone. Since your system has to have more than one phone (like a display phone somewhere), try swapping or moving the phone to a different jack.

Can you get a replacement
No. There is no battery in a 7020. There is a battery in the KXT-xxx10 system and those are available most anywhere (3.6 volts Nicad IIRC). The newer systems don't have batteries.

Programmable feature button programming
Ooh, it *might* work. The original 30810 KSU probably can't, but the circle 3 ought to. The buttons program from the set. Put the switch in PROGRAM, press the buttons, and dial 2+9+your number and STORE.

UNABLE TO RETRIEVE CALLS ON HOLD
Hello, i hope you[re doing great.
I had a problem with the auto dial button and a solution was to change from program to set.... in the rear part of the phone, where the phone cable plugs in, there is a little switch. Try changing its position, hope this works for you too...
