Okay, so you said it was formatting. Was this an internal memory format or an external? If it was external try swapping the memory with another card and see if it powers on. If it doesn't power on, try another outlet, it could be that your outlet has been damaged or also the power supply for the unit could be damaged. If all else fails, try returning the product to the store where it was purchased. Often times if you purchase your product with a credit card, Visa/Master Card/ America Express they have a 90 day damage protection in addition to 1 extra year of extended warranty protection. They will in fact, refund you the purchase price within 90 days of purchase if you are unable to return it to the place of purchase or help you send the unit out to be repaired or replaced. Okay... here is what the problem is....every time you add more pictures you are adding a new folder...the root area of the drive is only so big... and the folders have used up all of that area...therefore you cannot add anymore folders and thus no more pictures...

Here is what you need to do....

Download all of the pictures back to your PC and place them all in one folder...then completely reformat or delete all of the folders on the photo frame...this will delete all of the pictures also, but you have them saved on the PC, so don't worry... it would even be a good idea to save them on an external hard drive also...

Once you have everything reformatted and cleaned up, then reinstall the pictures to the frame and you will be okay to add more again...

it's easy, if you allready have installed the software camera, u just have to save your pictures in a folder and after this, you can with a right click on the picture you want to copy, select copy and paste in the same folder or paste in another folder.

The clue is in your descrition; Old. If the mechanism has jammed, due to age or lack of use that causes tarnisg=hing on the contacts, the motor/mechanism will not load. I would get it serviced at an aurgorised Minolta repair shop. Contact Minolta for a list of authorised repairers.
