Cb3746t fan humming
Casablanca fan with the 4 button W-32 wall control, right? Model# sounds like an Artisian. W-32 fans will emit a hum when you press buttons on the wall control, because the wall control modifies the sine wave (the 60hz ~~~~) to send signals to the board mounted on the side of the motor. It's primitive by today's standards, but it works well. As the motor gets some age on it you'll notice it getting louder when you press the buttons. If it's humming all the time, you have other issues. Reply with more info if this does not help.

Hello,
It is possible that some of the electronics inside the remote are damaged from the added pressure put under it. If you have a cell phone with a camera, turn the camera on and face it to the front of the remote where the infrared light is. Press a button on the remote. If you see the infrared light start to pulse (note you can not see it without a camera, your eye can not see it) then the device should still be working, if there is no pulsing light then it is damaged and will need replacing.

Casablanca model 3845T Bel Air.
Hi, you need to check in the first place if the remote is working . So use a IR detector to test the remote, if not remove, check the controller IC, the crystal and the terminals, clean and set with new battery .
If not replace the IC or the problem is with remote or reciever. Remote part # 85095-01-- just type in on browser, hunterfan.com and click on support find phone number. They will help with problem.

Sounds like the board fried, the early IT board is very sensitive to power surges unfortunately and it's surprising it still worked as long as it did. This fan would be from approximately 1985, so it should have the RMM-1 board which can do "Flik" mode without the control. As a test, remove the light, and unplug the Light Drive Module in the switch housing, and then apply power. The fan, if it is going to work, will start on low and work it's way up to high. If the fan board is indeed fried, it will do nothing. You may be able to get re-imbursement for replacing the board from your power company, or to replace the entire fan with another IT unit.

Hi, I was able to find this fan by doing a lot of searching on the numbers. I could not how ever find a exploded view of this fan to see what this may be. I was able to come up with a toll free number for you to call to find out what your problem may be. Have you got a ladder and looked at it yourself to see what if anything has come loose? You may want to, but do call this number and keep your information on hand and keep me posted on this. If they are of no help get back to me shastalaker7, and we will get it repaired. Please rate me on this if I have been of help to you, that would be very kind of you. Keep me posted.
Sincerely,

The control is not working on our fan and light
If this is a ceiling fan,and it is on a adjustable control, then the control is bad. What ever kind of fan it is,if it is coming on by itself, then it would have to be the control causing it,if it is digital ,then the circuit board is bad.
