Culligan WHR-140 Replacement Shower Filter Cartridge for WSH-C125, HSH-C135 Questions & Answers
Mark 49 Culligan softener what timer settings do I need to refill brine tank.
To set the timer on a Mark 49 Culligan water softener to refill the brine tank, you will need to consult the user manual for specific instructions. The manual will provide information on how to set the timer to control the frequency of regeneration cycles, as well as the amount of salt that is added to the brine tank during each cycle. If you no longer have the manual, you can contact Culligan or check their website for a downloadable copy. If the brine tank is not refilling enough after cleaning, it is possible that the brine tank float may be stuck or damaged, or the water level in the brine tank may be set too low.
How do you replace moter
The problem with Culligan is that most of their parts are very priority and hard to find anywhere but through Culligan. If you go to their web site they do not provide instructions for working on them yourself. I sure that motor is available out there and if you feel comfortable taking it apart a replacement motor may be available through an aftermarket source the problem is the part may or may not have part numbers on it other than Culligan numbers.
I wish I had better news on this but Culligan is really secretive.
Trying to connect Culligan drinking
One thing to try is pick up a tap adapter, from an appliance store. The adapter is intended to connect a portable dishwasher or washing machine....these adapters have several small pieces that may be able to be used with the pieces from the Culligan adapter.
Aqua clear system. no water
First make sure you are getting water to the unit. There should be an 1/8" line supplying water to the unit on the back side and the line may be bent or kinked. If there is a good water supply then the next thing to check is the inline filter if it has one or it may have an internal filter system, check it. If at this point you are still not getting water then it will be in the electrical system ie: the solenoid switch that opens and closes the water supply for the ice maker.
Now you have said that you are not even getting water to the faucet so I would go with the water supply problems as being the problem.
I have a culligan house
Take the housing back off and make sure the seal is where it belongs and before you put it back together lube the o-ring with some o-ring lube this well keep it from moving with the housing as you tighten it up. You can use some other type lube but it should be food grade lube.
How do you replace whole
Sitting atop the filter housing cap is a red pressure relief button, which vents excess pressure inside the housing to make installing Culligan replacement filter cartridges a breeze.
Usually you turn the top which turns off the water. Put a bucket under the filter and press the red button. Some water will spurt out to relieve pressure. The filter housing are usually removed with a special wrench. Discard element. Install new one and tighten.

Fortunately this problem is very easy to cure. Simply follow the instructions below.
- Remove the ceramic cover from the tank on the back of the toilet.
- Fill a one-gallon jug with water.
- Pour the water into the toilet tank. Just pour it over the top of the black plastic Flushmate container. It will run down the sides into the bottom of the ceramic tank. See photo below.
- Now flush the toilet. The noise should be gone.
