How do i keep motor from rotating when removing balancer
I remove the nut by putting the proper size socket on a breaker bar and stabilize it against the frame somewhere. Turn the key ***Just far enough to BUMP the engine*** This will loosen the balancer nut enough that you can remove it. When putting it back on, make sure all the plugs are installed. Tighten it the best you can. It will clinch when you start it up.
Harmonic Balancer
need a harmonic balancer puller.. Can be rented at some auto parts stores. Some will sell them.
It threads into the hub of the balancer and has a bolt in the center that is rotated to exert pressure on the crankshaft.
Each rotation of the bolt will create more force and move the balancer a little at a time until it is clear of the end of the crankshaft.
How do you undo the crank shaft bottom pulley on a
Hi there,
There are times when there is no substitute for air tools, specifically an impact gun and sockets.
However, chances are you won't be able to get one down in there, so this might not be one of those times. Breaker bar with a pipe over the handle for added leverage.
Treating it with penetrating oil can't hurt either
Good luck

I need a head valve seat for central pneumatic 21 degree angle framing nailer model 60828 also need headvalve seat for 34 degree angle finish nailer 68020
I have not been able to purchase replacement parts for these nail guns , however, have repaired them using parts from Bostitch framers and or just make the part. If the seal fits over the top of the cylinder, then try using seal from Bostitch framer part #N70155 fits a bit tight but works. Heat with a hair dryer to soften and install. If the seat is incorporated within the head valve, just dig it out and replace it with liquid two part urethane. Just mix and pour it in. After cleaning out the old seal, place head valve on level surface and pour in the mixed urethane till slightly over full to give the seal a nice crown. The finish nailer might also be repaired using other brand of seals. Remove the old part and take it to service center for a possible match. Good luck with your repair.
What oil should I use in Handiair H8/25 Compressor?
Many air compressors use a mineral blend or a synthetic oil, such as synthetic hydrocarbon, polyol ester or polyglycol. It is important to use a lubricant specifically rated for air compressors; do not use a general-purpose motor oil used for automotive or other purposes.
