You can get a new balance beam on Ebay for a few pounds just search Air hog. Just check the linkages are ok before you order so you can buy them as well if needed. They are actually called a " Flybar" HTH

My air hogs hawk eye

my son has some Air Hogs helicopters and this happenes if it has not been charged long enough.You might want to replace batteries or check to see if you are charging it correctly sometimes they are hard to connect.Good luck
