Troy -Bilt String Trimmer/Blower Attachment #41AJBT-C966 Questions & Answers
Troy bilt pole saw will not lubricate any more
I assume you are talking about the oiler for the chain and if so it sounds as if the oiler is either blocked with chips or it is broke. You can go to ereplacementparts.com and put the model and model number in and it will show a drawing of the saw and you can then fix the problem.
I have a 42 inch troy-bilt riding mower the blades won't disengage.
Sounds like either the switch for the blades is not shutting off the power to the electric clutch or the clutch itself is not disengaging. I would shut the mower off and unplug the wire to the electric clutch and then start the mower and make sure the blades do not turn you may have the belt for the blades on the wrong pulley and it might be causing the blades to turn. Hope this helps.

Do I have to line up piston rings a specific way
yes make sure the open ends do not line up, stagger them in 3rd's oil well before you put the piston in the ring compressor. Make sure you have the piston "Front mark" orientated properly before instalation.
Troy Bilt in Hell String Trimmer TB465SS Running Problem
You need to clean the carb. or you may need to buy a carb. kit. But do a cleaning on it first. If you need tips on how to best do this, just let me know. Also check the fuel lines for cracks. As they age, they become brittle.

Need to replace primer bulb,
The primer bulb can be replaced without replacing the whole assembly. If you have any questions on how to do this let me know.

sounds like you are winding the line in the wrong direction. You should
wind the line in the opposite direction that the head spins during
operation.
Good Luck!

Troybilt TB75SS String Trimmer will only run choked
It sounds like your carburetor needs a good cleaning. You must disassemble the carb., clean all the ports with a small Den Tech Brush, (used for cleaning between teeth). They are very small and perfect for this job. You will also want to clean the small screen in the carb. It may be so clogged that it may need to be replaced. If this is the case, you will need a carb.kit for your Troybilt Trimmer; it comes with small parts and gaskets. (It will come with some gaskets that you will not need.) Replace all old parts with the new ones. This should fix your problem.
I can start it, but it shuts down after a 10
The model number for your post is for the blower attachment. Can you pass the model number of the upper assembly please so we can better help you. Thanks

I am going to go out on a limb here.. Most of these troy-built trimmers use this carb with primer bulb.

What usually happens to them is the primer bulb on the bottom of the carb gets a pin-hole in it and then air is drawn into the carb vs fuel from the tank.
You can try to get just a primer bulb at your local lawn mower parts supply. You may just have to bite the bullet and replace the whole carb.
I have a TB465ss weed eater. It was running fine
Sounds like you have fuel leaked into the cylinder. Remove the spark plug, empty it out, pull the rope a few times to force out the excess fuel, dry the plug off and put it back in. Don't put the choke on, open the throttle all the way up, and she should start. Remember, liquid doesn't compress, and sometimes changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure can push fuel through the system and into the cylinder.
