I have an mspa b-121 Castello hot tub spa. The bubbles/jets work, in fact everything seems to work, except when the heater button on the control panel is pushed, I get an f7 error. I'm pretty handy if I have some guidance. Short of just starting to replace expensive parts and hope for the best, anything I can test to try and narrow down the issue or potentially fix it? I have a multimeter if electronics require checking. Everything I've read around this error or issues in general, is basically no support other than referral to a sales rep in your country that just wants to sell you parts without any kind of troubleshooting or narrowing it down to be sure. Seen far too many people with issues where they are basically just playing the swap the parts game. I've soldered circuit boards from scratch previously, but always with guidance as to what goes where.

I’ve a Laars Lite 2 model LG125-E that has abpilot generator. When power is supplied to the heater by the timer it immediately trips the power supply so something has shorted. This seems to be the pilot generator - when it’s disconnected there’s no short (heater doesn’t fire up and doesn’t seem to try) but disconnect any other component and it still trips (heater also doesn’t seem to try to fire up). I’ve checkes the mVDC from the pilot generator and thats 550mV when not under load. I can’t test under load as it trips too fast. I replaced the pilot generator with another used one (from a donor heater I have) and it has the same issue. I’ve also tried replacing the gas valve from the same donor. The PP terminal on the gas valve is earthed to the valve case. Is this likely to be an issue with the pilot generator, the gas valve (tried two of each remember) or something else?
