Health o Meter Professional Scale model 822KL won't convert from stones to pounds even after I flip the switch to lbs. It never changes

To reset a profile hold down the number of the profile you want to reset (1-4) then hold down the select button at the same time. The scale will ask you if you want to erase. Then you can recreate your profile.

1. Place the Health-O-Meter scale on a flat surface. Make sure the scale is indeed level.
2. Tap the lower left or right corner of the scale three times. After you do this, you'll notice the display shows.
3. Wait a few seconds for the scale to reset and re calibrate.

The battery is located behind the LCD screen, slightly on the right hand side side if you are facing the LCD screen. You can drill a hole on the platic case from the back of the scale, and you will see the battery house and 3 screws on the battery house lid, unscrew the 3 screws, you can take out and replace the 3V Eveready button type battery easily.

I have tried to open the case by taking out the spring latches located behind the 4 legs of the scale, it was much harder to put every thing back afterward.

I found one and it wouldn't come on either after I put new batteries in it, I took it apart and cleaned the battery terminals with some sandpaper. I put batteries in it and it turned right on.

For resetting it would be similar to the initial setting process. FOLLOW these steps:

Lift display cover. Push "SET" button at bottom of pad. User "1" and "2" will appear.
User "1" will start blinking. Press the "USER" button to choose user "1" or "2". Once selected, press "SET" button to lock in information.
Both "HEIGHT" and "AGE" will appear on the screen. The "HEIGHT" will start blinking. Press the "UP" or "DOWN" arrows to find the correct height.

After entering height, press the "AGE" button. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" arrows to enter correct age and press "SET".

Both "MALE" and "FEMALE" images will be displayed. Press the "GENDER" button until the correct MALE/FEMALE image blinks and then press "SET". This will lock in the information.
Your correct information including User, Height, Age, and Gender will be displayed. Now you are ready to calculate weight.

Tap your person "USER" number (1 or 2) in center of scale with your toe. Your personal profile will appear. Wait until "000" appears. Stand on scale so bare feet are positioned over silver pad surface. "000" will blink your weight for approximately 3 seconds. "BF" will flash and body fat percentage will appear. The scale will turn off automatically in a few seconds.
