Electric dryer no start does nothing
Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage.
CHECK THERMAL SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BLOWER. for OHMS or resistance with a meter. Should show a closed circuit. Ohms WHEN THIS FUSE BLOWS IT WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.
NEXT Test the PUSH start switch with meter for OHMS. Should show OHMS when pushed in or on start, and no ohms or infinity when in off position.
If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor.
Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay/capacitor on motor.
Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings
Another thing to checkis the belt safety switch. With a multi meter.
Especially if u just replaced the belt. The belt safety switch is attached to the Tensioner and motor. IT LOOKS LIKE A DOOR SWITCH SOMEWHAT a little black pc of plastic with 2 prongs going into it. Sits at bottom of motor. Under the Tensioner. Attach meter clips to the 2 prongs on switch, Then when the little white push button is pressed in it should show continuity and none when released.
Lastly check ur DOOR SWITCH for continuity with a meter when the button is pushed in the (on/Door closed position,) it may have gone bad.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhVUEhngZMg

Had the same problem. I clean it the way you mention with the addtion of blowing compressed air through the vent pipe and it still failed to work. I unplugged the power for a couple of mintues, still did not work. I rotated the dial and pressed start at each position. In the "SHORT" position, it worked and subsequently worked in all positions there after.
Check ur venting inside and outside the machine. the lint basket? is the air blowing out the back without any restrictions? then check ur thermostats with a multi meter for continuity, may also want to check ur moister sensor, if its mis reading the dryness it will shut off heat early
Hi Patti,I saw your problem above for the first time just now. Not knowing what was going on before I can say that you might want to look at the door switch. Most dryers that I have seen will not allow the drum to start or continue to spin if the door is open. This is a safety feature nearly every dryer (or washer for that matter) employs. If the switch (or associated wiring or circuitry) fails to send or detect the signal that indicates the door has not been closed, it will not start.I hope this helps & good luck!
Since there is no water lines connected to a Bosch Nexxt WTMC 6500 gas dryer, the water leak has to be from excess water from the clothes you are trying to dry. Which is probably more the problem.
Does your washer leave an excessive amount of water in the clothes after the spin cycle?
1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working. 2. Check for the continuity of the heating element in your gas dryer using a multimeter. Replace the element if continuity is not there. 3. Inspect the thermal fuse if it is burnt out, it is attached to the exhaust duct on the back panel of the gas dryer. Replace if necessary. 4. Check the igniter by first disconnecting it, and then place the probes onto the two contacts of the igniter. The meter should read under 100 Ohms of resistance, if it is above 100 then replace the igniter. 5. Check the continuity on the flame sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible.

A friend of ours has a bosch gas dryer and she had the same problem. She called the Bosch repairman and he sprayed the lint filter with Greased Lightning to clean out the tiny holes in it. He charged $100 and left. He said it would take care of the problem. Has not had any problems since. http://www.greased-lightning.com/ It is worth a try.
