Denon AVR2313 7.2 Channel A/V Receiver - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Denon AVR 1804
Switch on and
I fix these receivers for a living and can tell you with certainty that the problem you have is one that will require the replacement of several parts. You will need to know how to solder and be able to purchase the proper parts.
There are 3 different most common reasons that they go into the protect mode, which is what is happening to your unit now.
1. Has a blown output channel in the amp that will require the replacement of both output transistors of the bad channel and the replacement of several resistors and a coupld of other transistors and a capacitor in the affected channel. You wil lneed a multimater to be able to check and findout which channel is bad. I can supply you with the part numbers you will need for the repair if you plan on doing it yourself.
2. A voltage regulator in the power supply is bad. They have several voltage regulators and it is a common problem for one to go bad. Once again you will need a multimeter to check and find which one it is and then get the part and replace it. I can supply the part numbers for you if needed.
3. A resistor that supplies the amplfier circuit has opened up and needs to be replaced. This is the least expensive repair, but not as common as the other two. Only one resistor would need to be replaced. You need a multimeter to verify that it is bad, I can tell you which resistor to check and loet you know by the readings with the meter if it is bad.
Those 3 problems are the most common reasons for the receiver to shut down like your is doing. I work at an authorized Denon repair center and have repaired hundreds of Denon recievers so I am certain that the problem you have is one of these three listed.
Let me know if you plan on trying to fix this yourself and I will guide you thru the repair and even email you the service manual for a reference to do this repair. It is not an easy job, but it is the problem you are having. As I said before, I fix these receivers all the time myself, and I know how to fix them. Let me know if you want further help with this.

Denon AVR-5803.Power not turn on it just flashing on the screen then off. What causes.?
This is a normal condition when a capacitor or more on the power board has failed, this is a common issue however I can not assure you that this is your issue. I also advise against opening it up to work on it but if you did you want to locate any bulging or obviously distressed capacitors.(oozing liquid, extra plum-stolen, smelly or melted parts you can also look for weak spider joint as the cold air makes us keep the heat on more and along with prolonged use can weaken solider joint in some electronics good luck.

Denon AVR X3300W won't turn on
check SMPS of Denon AVR X3300W located at AC in.
The voltage 5.26V may be
down. If current protect ,
check ALL components of
power amp OR replace them ALL.
DENON D-M03 DISPLAY IS TOO DIM
I have the same issue with my DENON receiver. I know that there must be a setting in some menu someplace. But how can you read the menu when the display is too damn dim, right? I have searched through the buttons on the remote and pressed all of them after changing the batteries twice. They are either unsmart or they don';t care. Any way it sucks
Denon pma 250SE phono problem
Denon PMA 250SE does not have a RIAA phono preamp.for some info about these preamp and details here;
Phonopreamps.com Home PageNote: Choose a better quality regulated power supply, for these preamps. Although an updated turntable with USB can be used without the need of such RIAA phono preamp.
I have a Denon AVR4800 thx receiver has power no sound.
Check the speaker terminals. If they are crossed. You may have activated the overload circuits. also you may have too high ohm speakers. Connect 8 ohm speaker and try again. Make sure wires are correct + to + and - to - on both ends.
If you have all this it should work. Good luck.
Setup turntable/preamp and 2 front speakers. Denon avr s 700w
Not much to set up - make sure the turntable is level and stable and the tonearm adjusted to the correct playing weight for the cartridge/stylus and then connect the turntable to a suitable RIAA corrected preamp input - low impedance high sensitivity for magnetic cartridge and high impedance low sensitivity for ceramic or piezo cartridge.
The speakers are best placed far enough apart for good stereo separation and on a substrate that doesn't resonate, if necessary placing them on something like concrete paving slabs or fitting them with pointed feet to bite through carpet.

How do I connect my Denon AVR-587 to the digital audio out of the TV?
The digital out is either a coax (TV cable) you screw on and connect to the same type connector on the receiver or it is a small square connector that requires a fiber optic cable designed for this.
The unit's manual will show you.

Denon avr 2312CI is short and burns the fuse when I turn it on
Assuming you are not a trained repair tech, I'd suggest you take the unit to an authorized Denon repair center. Ask for an estimate, hopefully no charge, so you can decide whether or not to pay to have it repaired. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
