White powder in washer after clean cycle
If you live in an area with hard water, the white powder is probably hard water residue / deposits. Most detergent does not clean hard water deposits anymore because there are new laws that required a change in the ingredients of dishwasher detergent. Here's a product that was created to solve this exact problem. Add about 2 tablespoons to your normal detergent. It's all-natural & made from dehydrated orange peels! They will send a free sample if you ask for one. www.CloudyDishes.com

My washer drains the washer just does not spin the extra off so they are still soaked.
My washer is doing the same thing. I have to use the extra spin cycle to get them "less" wet. It sounds like it's time to get someone in to look at it, but you may want to consider calling Maytag and looking into their extended warranty. Yes, you need to admit there's a problem and yes they will charge you more for the warranty. But, in the end the warranty pays for itself because these machines are very expensive to fix. Be prepared to give Maytag some serial numbers and other things you'll find pretty easilty when you open the lid to your washer.
