Below is the process to update your maps, just follow the instructions and make sure to look them over before you begin the process.
1. Using the ROUTE 66 Sync application.
- Connect thedevice to the computer via USB cable or insert the memory card into amemory card reader/writer (either external or integrated into the PC /laptop).
- Start the ROUTE 66 Sync on your computer. When the application opens click on the "Switch to my device" tab.
- In the bar menu choose "Tools - Check for software update for yourdevice . If a new update is available you will receive the message: Anew version of Navigate 8 is available. Update now? . Choose Yes forinstalling the software update.
2. Update from the device.
- Connect the device to the computer via the USB cable. Synchronize thedevice to the computer via the Microsoft ActiveSync. If this componentis not installed on your PC, please download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/activesync45.mspx - In the Main menu of the device go to Extras - Update .
3. Update from the ROUTE 66 website.
- Go on the website at the following link and download the software update file to the computer:
http://www.66.com/support/index.php?cid=UK&opt=updates_detail&prod=4 - Insert the memory card into a memory card reader/writer (either external or integrated into the PC / laptop).
- Run the software update file.
- When the update installation is finished, insert the memory card into the device.
The software version is displayed on the device in Main menu - View -About (or Main Menu - Info - About , depending of the softwareversion).
