If you are getting the "unable to open application database" error when attempting to start the navigation application, you can safely delete the MyFlashDisk\iGO\iGO.DB database file and then reboot. This should resolve the issue.

The screen would have to be replaced as it has certainly damaged it. You can usually get replacement screens from places like Ebay but I cannot see any for the Amcor. Looking on the web indicates it is an old model which was less than £100 when new and I doubt it is worth fixing as cheap Tom Toms can be bought for about £60 new.

If your gps says no signal, you need to first check if all the connections on it are appropriate, once they are checked. Turn it off for some moment then turn it back on, if it still does not work, then you need to reset it. After resetting it should pick signal, and if that does not do the job, then it means there is a problem somewhere. It is either the location you are there is no good satellite signal for the gps to pick signal, or your antenna is faulty, try to use another antenna to see if it works, if that works, then all you have to do is to replace the antenna, and if it does not help, then it means the problem is from the network around the location you are.

I will advice you try hold the reset button for 15 seconds and then try to power up unit. Make sure your battery is fully charge. if the problem still persist, take the memory card out. Hit the reset button, plug it back in, hold down the "on" button, it should turn back on. you can put back the memory card back in.

It seems that the memory card (SD card) of your GPS device has been corrupted and you will need to install the new maps and software for it. Check the manufacturer's website for any updates and install them, in case it doesnot work, then you need to send it to the service center.
