Plug the charger into the wall. Plug the other end into the spot on the PSP with the yellow outline. Check for an orange light. If it's on, let it charge until the light turns off. It it's not on check connection. If it's still no charging, take out the battery and put it back in. If it's still not charging remove the battery and try to turn it on. If it will no start, your PSP is bricked.

On the side opposite of the power switch, you should find another switch. Move this switch up and it should turn on the WLAN. A green LED will light up on the lower left side of the unit.

Hi smsrahman60, Based onyour concern, I suggest trying the following steps: 1. Before you plug it in make sure the PSPis in USB connect mode. -->Also make sure the Memory Stick PRO Duo has been formatted for PSP. If it's notthis is how you do it: On themain menu, scroll all the way left to the "Settings" menu. Thenselect "System Settings." Then scroll to "Format MemoryStick" and press X. 2. Connect the PSP to your PC with a USBcable. 3. Press the "home" button on thePSP --> atthe lower left of the screen you can see the home button. 4. Use the left-right directional buttons tofind "Settings", then the up-down buttons to find "USBConnection" on the PSP. 5. Press the "X" button, your PSPshould display "USB Connection". 6. Please wait until your computer tells youthat a new USB device has been connected, then show you a new generic harddrive, usually E: or F: 7. Click on the drive letter thatcorresponds to the PSP unit. Hope ithelps, Thank youfor using FixYa.

Hi tiffanybutle,

Based on your concern, I suggest trying the following steps:

1. Turn your PSP on.

2. Make sure that your WLAN switch is turned on.

3. Perform a factory reset.
--> To do this, select "Settings", then select "Restore Default Settings". You will not lose any information or data by performing this step.

However, you may need to reset your wallpapers. Set your name, date, time, etc...

4. Power down your PSP then wait 10 seconds, then power it on.

5. Navigate to "Network Settings".

a. Select "Infrastructure Mode"

b. Select "New Connection" Name this connection as you deem appropriate.

c. Navigate to "WLAN Settings" Select "Scan".

d. Your router should now be listed.

e. Navigate to "WLAN Security Setting". If you did not select encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then leave the option as "None"

f. If you selected encryption in ROUTER SET-UP, then select the appropriate WEP, or WPA..

g. Navigate to "Address Settings". Select "Easy"

h. Navigate to "Setting List". Verify that your settings are correct.

i. Navigate to the next screen and press X to save your settings. You should get a message that says "Save Completed. Test Connection". Press X.

j. You should get two quick display messages. The first should say "connecting to access point." The next should say "obtaining IP address".

Hope it helps,

Thank you for using Fixya.
