Switching a kenmore dryer door

In General the deconstruction of the door is not needed. With a great deal of Kenmore dryers you can simply turn the door 180 degrees and reinstall it.

Hello

As other things are working fine but the dryer won't heat so the issue is with the Thermal fuse and needs replacement as they cannot be reset. Thermal fuse is located on the heater element housing and you can check it for continuity as well with a ohm meter. Please check this picture:

Need Trouble Codes

Sears is a department store. They do not build their own appliances. They contract with many different manufacturers to build all of their appliances. This chart will help you determine who actually built your appliance, then you can choose the manufacturer from the charts on this page.

Go to this link and look for Sears Kenmore area to use the chart to find out who made your machine. You will need the model number of your machine off the machine. you should find it around the inside the dryer door.

Once you find out who made the machine you can then look under that manufacture to see if the dryer error codes are listed on the same page link i have here.

Where is the fuse in kenmore elite dryer

Check your breakers first. Turn off then back on. Then check trhe wiring from the receptacle to the dryer and to the heating elements. The thermal fuse is located under the top. You will have to remove some screws to get to it. Bypass the fuse and if it works, then replace it. It is only 15 dollars. If all is O.K., then check the heating element. It may be bad especially if the dryer is over 10 years old.

Brand new Kenmore Front load won't work

It sounds like the plug is mis-wired. The panel works off of 110v but the rest is 220v. If one line is swapped with the ground you will get 110 only.

Drum spins off center and clothes get stuck between drum and casing

If your clothes get marked or torn in your dryer, check these:

Rollers
Rear seal
Front glides
Front seal
Rollers Your dryer may use rollers, or wheels, to support the rear of the clothes drum. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rollers wear out, you need to replace the whole set.

Rear seal Your dryer may have a felt-like seal at the rear of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, clothes can get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rear seal wears out, you need to replace it.

Front glides Your dryer probably uses nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the glides wear out, you need to replace them as a set.

Front seal Many dryers have a felt-like seal at the front of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, the clothes in the dryer may get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the seal wears out, you need to replace it.

Trying to find out how much part #7 on the exploded view of the Kenmore elite electric dryer model 110.2808 is? It is a motor.

110.2808 is an incomplete model number. Motors are typically $140 to $180 USD https://www.easyapplianceparts.ca/PartInfo.aspx?inventory=334304&SourceCode=18 This is is a typical Kenmore model designation and is probably the matching washer to your dryer. Yours is missing 4 numbers. Label in the back, label on the door frame, mentioned on the manual.
