Replacing ignitor battery

Has it got a battery or has it got a Pitzo crystal? They eventually wear out, you may need to replace the ignitor button unit.

Ignitor not working

I'm sure you have fixed yours by now, but if not, make sure the igniter wire is about 1/8" to 1/4" away from the fitting so it can produce a large enough spark to ignite it. Hope this helps!

Were do I find grill cover # 15808

Since it's a Kenmore grill and Kenmore is a house brand name of Sears. Have you tried calling your local Sears or K-Mart store? If you did and weren't successful, simply measure your grill (Height, Width & Depth) and armed with that information, visit any home improvement center or hardware store that sells grills and accessories and I'm sure you will find one that fits.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

I have a Kenmore 14116329 propane grill. The propane tank is full but when I turn on the burners very little gas comes out resulting in a VERY low flame. Is it the regulator or???

It is most likely the saftey check valve in the tank. The procedure is to:
  • Close tank valve.
  • Disconnect hose connection from grill to tank.
  • Wait
  • Reconnect hose connection from grill to tank
  • "Slowly" open valve on tank to release gas back into grill
Through on some steaks If still a problem replace tank. The check valve that can cause your problem drastically reduces propane flow in case of an accident and the lines are ruptured Hope this helps?

Our Kenmore Gas Grill Elite

Question, when you pull off the knob do you see a screw on the front of the valve? Since the grill was converted, there are times where manufacturers use gas specific valves and the screw is there as an adjustment. Let me know.

Kenmore Gas grill is not igniting

Check the piezoelectric ignition button wiring, check to make sure it isn't exposed or shorting somewhere. Take it out and see if you can get a spark across just the wires.

I have a kenmore 4 burner grill I can figure out what the chain is for or where it goes

Not sure about your particular model, but some have a light-duty metal chain with an attached metal match stick holder to light the burners, in case the spark ignitor stops working. Or if it's a more heavy-duty chain, it could be to strap the 20# cylinder in place.

Do natural gas grills need a regulator

it is best to have an external regulator. There may be some grills that don't require such a regulator but it is never wrong to use one. Not using one could, under some circumstance, lead to a varying flame when other gas appliances turn on and off.

tip

Ignitor doesn't click, spark or light gas

When my 2-year-old grill quit supplying a spark to light either the grill or the side burner, I removed the battery/start button and noticed droplets of water inside. So I removed the ignitor unit. When I shook it, I could hear water sloshing inside, probably because I'm too lazy to put the cover on the grill after using it. The part was going to be about $40 with shipping. I shook out all the water I could, but still no spark. Remembering a tip I'd heard about wet cell phones, I sealed the ignitor unit in a bag of dry white rice and left it on the grill in the Florida sun for a couple of days. Lots of condensation showed up on the plastic bag. Shocking discovery: after two days in the plastic bag, I shook out residual rice, replaced the battery and button, pushed it, and the sparks tingled my fingers pretty well! Lots of volts! Also works fine in the grill again. Probably works on all brands of grill ignitors...

Ignitor doesn't click, spark or light gas

A minor scratch will not do much harm to your image unless you use higher f-stops.Buff might help if its done by the canon themselves but mostly once an element is scratched , its gone for ever. any attempt might deteriorate the image quality even fogging your image in certain parts. using fine glass polishing powder can be used very delicately but its pretty technique sensitive and you might almost ruin the whole lens element. If your images are fine, then don't bother or else better change the element for full from the canon.Local shops might not give you the best result.
