I need to reset the
The clean light sometimes flashes and just needs to be reset. To do so
hit the keys in the following order. <Heated Dry> <Normal
Wash> <Heated Dry> <Normal Wash> <Cancel>.
The dishwasher will go through a cancel cycle (drain the tub) and will then let you start it up again.
Dishwasher is locked out. Clean light flashes 7
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, and then repeats. When
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and
locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive).
It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical
current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door
and press these buttons in sequence...
-high temp wash
-heated
dry
-high
temp wash
-heated
dry
All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the
issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (i.e. element,
thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door
switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door
latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it). Please
do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

Machine #17024 will cycle but
Hi
If you want start with resetting the control you can press and hold the AIR DRY/RINSE ONLY button for 15 seconds or press these buttons in sequence: high temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry for 3-4 times. After this if the issue returns and you hear the sound from the area where water enters the unit then it is the water inlet valve that has gone bad and should be replaced. However, you can also try to clean the hose and inlet for any clogs/blockages before replacing it. If the sound comes from the bottom of the unit then it can be with the impeller however, after reading your post it seems that the valve is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

D/W Won't Drain
well welcome to the club. anything that we dont have any expertise in may freak us out your not alone. drain issue normally has to do with a restriction somewhere.1 stuck or bad drain pump, clooged hose under sink or you can try to drain and cancell to see if it makes noise or not .thius will determine if where the problem is.let me know if this helps
Small Object in the drain area
The glass will definitely cause problems when it gets into the small pump that pumps the water out of the dishwasher and up the hose into the sink drain. Remove the lower front panel on the dishwasher, undo the hose clamp holding the hose to the pump. Remove the screws holding the pump to the frame. Now you can look into the pump and remove the chunk of glass with a tweezer.
Kenmore Model 665
The blinking button lights indicate the buttons are bad. The console will have to be replaced.

Plastic over one of the control buttons has started to peal off control panel. Is there is replacment cover or replace the entire control unit?
Lock out flashing
press and hold the air dry button for 4 seconds see if it dont turn the child lock off refer to your use and care guide
Blowing fuse...
Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. The model number that you posted had some service flashes out on it including a heater and motor rework. If your model number ends in 00 or 01, yours may be included. You may want to check with Whirlpool to get that fuse kit and check on the service flash. The service flash is 22-721. Good luck, Catriver
My older built in Kenmore 3380957 Rev.A dishwasher.
If it is doing when it is washing, then it likely to be a problem with the pump, but it might just be 'hunting' because the filters are partially blocked. There is the filter that you can see easily, but there is a fine filter underneath that blocks with fine grey lint.
Water left in the bottom can be caused by that because the drain pump is past the filter and is on a timer.

Kenmore dishwasher model 587 has ERR code and lights flashing.
If you're experiencing an ERR code and flashing lights on your Kenmore dishwasher model 587, it indicates an error or fault in the dishwasher's operation. Unfortunately, without specific details about the error code or which lights are flashing, it's challenging to provide a precise solution. However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the owner's manual: Refer to the dishwasher's manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. It should also provide troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
2. Power cycle the dishwasher: Turn off the dishwasher by unplugging it from the power outlet or shutting off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes to ensure a complete power cycle. Then, plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.
3. Check for obstructions: Inspect the dishwasher's interior, specifically the spray arms, filters, and drain pump, for any obstructions such as food debris or foreign objects. Clean or remove any blockages that you find.
4. Run a diagnostic cycle: Some dishwashers have a diagnostic mode that can help identify the cause of the error. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to initiate the diagnostic cycle.
5. Contact customer support: If the issue persists or you are unable to determine the cause of the error, it's recommended to reach out to Kenmore customer support or a qualified appliance repair technician. They will be able to provide further assistance and help resolve the problem.
Remember, the specific steps and options may vary depending on your dishwasher model. Consulting the owner's manual is always the best course of action when troubleshooting appliance issues.
