Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.Turn the power off to the unit for twenty minutes. If she got something wet it would have to be off longer. When you turn it back on you should be able to unlock it.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..
Here is some wisdom for understanding F1 fault codes.
In some models, there are subcodes that make diagnosis even easier.
Here's a simple explanation of what's going on and how to troubleshoot:
The F1 code indicates that:
a. The electronic range control (ERC) is sensing heat in the oven when in a time-of-day (i.e., not cooking) mode.
b. The ERC is receiving information to run multiple heat functions simultaneously.
Although different components (depending upon the model) could generate the code, simple and straightforward testing using your ohm meter is all you gotta do to test for it.
1. Check the oven temperature sensor. The oven sensor has to be within spec or it will cause the F1 code. As an example of being out-of-spec, the ERC will generate an F1 fault code when the sensor shows 1650 ohms during a time-of-day mode. This is equivalent to 350°F in the oven. The resistance isn't high enough to generate an F2 code (runaway temp) or an F3 or F4 code (shorted/open sensor circuit). The ERC monitors the sensor circuit after a heat cycle and expects the resistance to drop back to 1050-1100 ohms. The fault code is generated when this doesn't happen. Checking the sensor circuit means also checking the harness, harness connections and the sensor itself.
2. If the oven sensor circuit checks okay, then turn your inquisitive eyeballs to the touchpad. If the range has a separate touchpad/keyboard, the keypad may have moisture that is shorting several circuits simultaneously. If the F1 code is given immediately (instead of during or after a heat cycle), remove the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the ERC after clearing the F1 code. If the F1 code does not return in five minutes, then cast a suspicious gaze upon the touchpad/keyboard. Shorts may be caused by using an ammonia-based glass cleaner. The touchpad surface will absorb ammonia-based cleaners that are sprayed directly on the glass surface. When heat is applied, the surface material can break down causing shorts. If you're gonna use ammonia-based cleaners on your control panel, then you should spray it on the rag and then wipe the touchpanel -don't spray directly onto the surface of the touchpad.
3. On Amana ranges with a rotary temperature dial, be sure that the knob is in the OFF position when performing tests.
4. If these tests all check good, then replace the ERC.

There are several reasons why your Kenmore oven model 790.7343312 may be randomly turning off. Here are some possible causes:
Power supply issues: Check if the oven is properly plugged in and if there are any issues with the power outlet or circuit breaker. Loose connections or faulty wiring can also cause power supply issues.
Temperature sensor problems: The temperature sensor is responsible for regulating the oven's temperature. If it's malfunctioning, it can cause the oven to turn off randomly. You can check the sensor with a multimeter or call a professional to diagnose and fix the problem.
Faulty control board: The control board controls the oven's various functions, and a malfunctioning one can cause the oven to turn off unexpectedly. Again, you can use a multimeter to check the control board's voltage output or seek professional help.
Overheating: Overheating can cause the oven to shut down as a safety measure. Check if the oven's ventilation system is functioning correctly, and remove any obstructions that may be blocking the airflow.
Malfunctioning oven door switch: If the oven door switch is malfunctioning, it can cause the oven to shut down randomly. Check if the switch is working correctly, and replace it if necessary.
If you have already tried turning off the breaker and following the steps in the manual, it's possible that there is a problem with the oven's control panel or the temperature probe itself.
Here are some additional steps you can try:
Unplug the oven and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in. This may reset the oven's control panel.
Check if the temperature probe is inserted into the oven. If it is, try removing it and see if the oven turns off the probe function.
If the problem persists, you may need to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
If the oven is still under warranty, you can contact the manufacturer or retailer to request a repair or replacement.
It's important to be cautious when attempting to fix any electrical appliance, so if you're not comfortable with troubleshooting or repairing the oven yourself, it's best to seek professio
If the digital temperature adjustment on your Kenmore refrigerator model 596.72003001 is not working, there are several possible causes and solutions to consider:
Check the power supply: Make sure that the refrigerator is properly plugged in and that the outlet is working. If the outlet is not functioning, try plugging the refrigerator into a different outlet.
Check the temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is responsible for communicating the current temperature to the digital display. If the sensor is malfunctioning or faulty, the display may not show the correct temperature or allow for adjustments. Check the sensor for any visible damage or signs of wear and tear, and replace it if necessary.
Check the control board: The control board is responsible for regulating the refrigerator's temperature and ensuring that the digital display is functioning correctly. If the control board is damaged or malfunctioning, it may need to be replaced.
Reset the refrigerator: Try resetting the refrigerator by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes help to reset the digital display and restore proper functionality.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
You can try visiting the Kenmore website and searching for the manual using the model number C970-652231. If the manual is not available on their website, you can contact their customer support for assistance in obtaining a copy of the manual. Another option is to try searching for the manual on websites that offer appliance manuals such as ManualsOnline.com or ManualsLib.com.
The middle rack in a Kenmore oven is usually the third rack from the top. It is typically the largest rack and is usually located directly below the broiler element.
If your Kenmore electric range model 790.9232 oven is not working and the control panel is blank, there are a few potential causes for this issue:
Faulty control board: The control board manages the oven's functions and if it is faulty, the oven may not work and the control panel may be blank.
Power supply issue: There may be a problem with the power supply to the oven such as a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
Wiring issue: A wiring problem such as a broken wire or loose connection may be preventing power from reaching the oven.
Thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal fuse has tripped, the oven will not work and the control panel will be blank.

code Sd indicates that the control is in demo mode and to exit this mode you
have to press and hold the OVEN COOK TIMER and the START TIME buttons for around
20 seconds or till the time control begins to flash. Please get back to me with the model# if
you have any other questions.
Does the model number on your oven start with 790 (the three digit prefix)? If that is the case, then your oven was made by Frigidaire. The code F011 indicates a stuck key on the keypad. First make sure that nothing is pressing against any of the keys on the keypad. (The control board saw a signal from a key for 30+ seconds.) Press Stop to clear the display. Try turning off the power to the oven. Then check for loose or damaged wires between user interface control board and the touch panel. (Check the wires for continuity and the pins for corrosion.) Replace damaged wires. Make sure that the touch panel is properly aligned in the enclosure. There may be a spring or other part pressing on the touch panel. If the error persists, then replace the touch panel. Replace the user interface board if the code continues after replacing the touch panel.
I hope this helps. See https://i.sears.com/s/d/pdf/mp-tc/10038420/prod_24762108912 for more information on a similar electronic oven control. Please add the model (including the prefix) of your oven, if you'd like a parts diagram/list.

Hi,
you're correct about the control board being the issue. I would first get in-home assistance from home depot to help get the proper part number before making your order. And then you can order through kenmore.
Thank you.
