Razor Dirt Rocket MX350 miniature electric motocross bike shuts off at full speed.

Question edited for a lot more clarity. Question moved from 'Power Computers' to model category. Did you just remove the lead acid AGM batteries and replace with Lithium Ion? There is a lot more to it that that, you have to replace the controller as well and for safety you need a LiFePO battery and a new twistgrip because the old one is little more than an On / Off switch.. What can be wrong with my grandson's dirt bike. It was just taken out of the box and charged yesterday. Today we charged it but the bike won't move.

I think you can a new dirt bike charger easily on Amazon or on the razor website. Be aware of how you use the battery though, it is the same idea for a lot of mobility equipment (electric scooters, electric wheelchairs, electric bikes, and etc...). You need to use the battery PROPERLY. For example, charge them from time to time, don't leave them there for a long period of time just because you don't need to ride out your electric dirt bike. Your battery's longevity will get hurt. Also, protect it from water and dust. I learn a lot more about outdoor sports equipment on this site: https://mobilityseeker.com/.

I have a mx400 razor.

DOES THE BIKE HAVE A FUSE CONNECTION BEFORE THE CONTROLLER? IF IT DOES THEN I WOULD LOOK FOR THE FUSE LINE AND IF IT DON'T THEN I AGREE WITH YOU'R ASSUMPTION.IF AND WHEN YOU DECIDE TO FIX IT,I WOULD CONSIDER A FUSE I'LL BE LESS $$$. D,R,CLAUDIO

I was given a mx350

If it was working before it sat, then it is almost certainly the battery (these kinds of batteries suffer if sitting and not fully charged). If you had one, or could borrow a voltmeter, you could check the batt. Also, lots of car part places like NAPA can test batteries for you.

Hope that helps

Engine runs but wheels do not move

This could be a few things: 1) Your clutch plates may have worn out so that even when the bike is in gear, it will just rev, but no power will be transmitted to the drive shaft (smaller front chain sprocket is the driving gear, larger rear sprocket on the back wheel is the driven gear) 2) The front chain drive sprocket has come off under the cover on the motor - if the chain is really slack, have a look. 3) The front chain drive sprocket SHAFT has sheared. (basically, meaning that the shaft has broken into two parts as it couldn't handle the drive power (torque) being delivered through it to the chain drive) With the motor on, listen for grinding noises internally when you rev, from the vicinity of the front chain drive cover. If its rough and grindy, the shaft may be sheared. Then with the motor off, take the cover off and leverage the small chain drive sprocket away from the motor with a screwdriver, and see if the shaft can just be pulled out of its sealed opening. Unfortunately with these bikes, the metals used in drive shafts and motors are not always heat-treated or hardened to the standard they should be, so shearing and premature failure can happen. 4) The gearbox or something in it has blown, unfortunately for the same reason above, quality related. Its fair to say that these great little bikes are here for a good time, but not for a long time.

Low battery backup

Have a read of the trouble shooting guide here, http://www.razorama.com/razor-installation-guides.htmlIt sounds like a fault with the charger. Test the charger output with a voltmeter to confirm correct operation. IF OK then check the wiring , fuse, switch conections between the charger and the battery.wiring diagram is here http://manuals.monsterscooterparts.com/recreational/Razor/Wiring/
