Getting it out of child lock can be difficult but make sure you watch the light on the front panel it will go right back to lock if your not careful.I had to try several times at first I thought it would need a doctor.. but with patience it should work and unlock with the 4 second hold.. power down does not reset unless you wait 30 minutes or longer.. hope this helps

Kitchen aide dishwasher won't start. Water left

I had this and the thermal fuse needed to be replaced ($14 part).

If the lights won't come on on the controller and you are sure you have power to the dishwasher, then check the thermal fuse.
1. turn off the power to the machine
2. open the door and unscrew all the screws along the inner edge
3. gently split apart the layers of the door and access the controller; it is inside the door and just below the buttons that are supposed to light up.
4. the thermal fuse is white and clipped onto the side of the control box close to the top of the door.
5. unplug the leads going into it and check it with a multimeter - if no current goes through it then it needs to be replaced

relatively easy fix - good luck!

I have a Kitchenaid Dishwasher

HI. The control board was actually not the issue here. The interface will be the lone culprit in this case. There is a stuck circuit or button that is causing this warning(blinking lights). The button is mounted on the interface and you will need to, simply, replace the interface board. Once this is done, the unit will operate normally.

Click here to purchase your new interface board on line, if you wish.

Doesn't clean dishes, spray arms and filter look

Hello- This unit has a sump at bottom of tub that can get blocked, causing low or no water flow. Remove racks, water tube, and the accumulator cover to get to it. Clean the strainer and chopper screen. This should solve the problem. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- Ed

No water is coming in to dishwasher

measure the voltage to the water fill valve. it should be about 120 volts in fill mode. if it is, then the inlet screen may be plugged. turn off water and disconnect pipe. examine and or clean screen. if screen is clean (some may not have one) and it has 120 volts applied to it then you need to replace the fill valve.

Dishwasher

dishwashers need alot of water ..check hoses for blockage and water pressure...should be around 40. also check and see if proper drainage. water has to get to the top by hoses to a sprayer check that...a motor has to run the sprayer, that looks like a 2 blades whirling about with holes, and might have clutches and gears worn in that cycle...you will stand there and hear all the cycles and can open it to see if top gets water. good luck

It sounds like the water inlet valve has stopped letting water in. With no water the spray bar won't rotate as it is driven by the pump. Generic videos.

Kitchenaid KDPM604KPS dishwasher stops minutes into cycle

I couldn’t find any error code 2H but I did find an error code H2O. This code means insufficient water pressure. If the display reads 2H, it usually means the start delay function is turned on. The dishwasher will turn on in 2 hours if door is closed. This dishwasher is advanced. To understand all operations you should read the user guide or manual.

I have a small pin hole in the bottom of my kitchenaid dish washer which is stainless.. Can the bottom pan be replaced or does the hole need to be patched?

If the hole is small you can seal it with epoxy putty. Clean and abrade the area and after mixing the putty make sure it is pushed well into the hole and if possible smoothed over on the underside. Two types that will work.
