My lg tv was damage by the lightning can it still
Hello
It cannot be predicted whether it can be set it right or not; because lightning will have trillions of volts when it hit earth. Our devices are designed to work for 220VAC the most. The repair circumstances will depend on the how strong it was hit by lightning. A through check is necessary to say whether it is repairable or not. Please contact an experienced service techinican and get his advice. OK.
My HP flat sreen Tv,
Yes. If you are not performing the repairs yourself it is time to take it to the repair shop before the main board and power supply both need to be replaced. It might be too late and both of them may already need replacing. That is a costly repair and you might just want to purchase another tv, but let the repair service provider test the board and power supply and he'll let you know. That way you'll have peace of mind and know exactly what is going on.

Try a different cd if the player won't read any CD or DVD then there is most likely a problem with the actual reading hardware. If under warranty HP should replace, if not can take to a repair shop or purchase a replacement unit. Another thing to try would be looking for a reset to default options in one of the configuration menus to make sure there isn't some software setting that is causing the issue.

Your signal board is showing signs of old age. The signal board is the one with all the RCA, and RF connections. You will need to replace this board. If you know of an electronic enthusiast, have them pull out the existing board. They will have to check and replace capacitors as needed. Much of the problems facing flat screen TVs are bad capacitors. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

It is possible that the computers operating system has become corrupt for one reason or another, my guess is that your computer is over 3+ years old(dv6 series is old) if formatting and reloading your operating system doesn't fix this issue, it may be your hard drive that has failed(or failing)
Why when I use composite
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or
to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including
electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make
sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them
there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that
are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections
and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they
could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to
have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it on, eventually the screen may come on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for 5 mins, then try.
If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.
If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).
Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.
I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.
I have an HP ID5220N.
I'm having similar problem with same TV.
I've been advised it could be the ballast but I cannot find one for this morphedite tv. Please repost if can find a solution.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your laptop. It sounds like the battery may need to be replaced. Older laptop batteries will loose the ability to hold a charge as time goes on.
Here are some things to try:
1) Remove the battery from the notebook and try booting up with just the power adapter plugged into the notebook. If the notebook boots then the power adapter is working fine. If the notebook does not boot then the power adapter is no good and needs replaced.
2) With the battery in the notebook, and the notebook off, leave the power adapter plugged into the notebook for a few hours or over night and see if the battery charges.

This sound like the power supply board has failed. The electrolytic capacitors on the board may need to be replaced.
IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK WITH ELECTRONICS REPAIR(soldering ) or have a friend with knowledge/skill you can fix it.
>Unplug the set.
>Remove the back cover.
>look at the capacitors on the power supply board. If the top of any of them are bulging up that is the problem.
>You will have to replace ALL the electrolytic capacitors except for the large one.> Use ones with the same farad rating
> Use ones with the same or higher voltage rating> Use high temperature rating> Install one at a time to prevent mix-up and keep the polarity correct.
> Leave a space between the PC board and the bottom of the capacitors for expansion. They heat up.THIS IS AN INDUSTRY WIDE PROBLEM AFFECTING MANY COMPANIES AND PRODUCTS.
One source for some good capacitors is NTE. Try nteinc.com for a local outlet. You can also search for other sources. Some companies even sell all the capacitors in a kit.
Total price of parts should be < $20.00
