I have an LG LRFD21855ST and I have ice on the bottom that keeps accumulating. It appears from what the tech who came out say, that the drain line is blocked by ice. His take is that is because the insulation (which you can't see) must be saturated and therefore any water running down the drain is going to freeze. No solution except to unplug, let it dry out and wait a couple of days
I called LG- what a mess. one hour and 40 minutes and they said it wasn't under warranty because it wasn't a compressor, or condensor or part of thier "closed" system. I then asked him to send me the parts to fix it, he said that their are no parts and it can't be fixed. A four year old frig $2400 and it can't be fixed. Hmmm. seems a bit wierd to me. Any advice. I bought it at Best Buy 4 years ago.

I recently bought a used Maytag refrigerator (model # MSD2356AEB)that is in very good condition. Both water and ice dispensers are not working. I installed a saddle valve and ran the water line to the unit myself. Flow seems to be pretty good going into the refrigerator. The water inlet valve seems to be working properly. Water comes out of the valves pretty good when I actuate the water dispenser pad on the front of the unit. I removed the filter bypass inside the refrigerator and actuated the water dispenser pad. Water flows out of the filter/bypass area. That's it. Water doesn't seem to be going any farther than the filter/bypass area. What else might be wrong that would account for water and ice not dispensing?
I have just replaced a rack in a Skybox and did some disassembly to see what I could find. On the backside of each rack is a hub in which the drive...
