My wall control pad will not turn on. The control in the fan unit has power but the two do not appear to be communicating. The wall pad is 5 years old but has never had an active beeper and has never been highly successful with the display lights only working intermittently.As the cooler was otherwise doing its job I did not worry about the faults. Now it has conked out and nothing on the pad appears to work. A serviceman has told me that replacing the wall unit at acost of some $600+ may not fix the problem. What are my options?
