I am installing a relatively new stove hood over my gas range. It came with a plug but I have decided to hard wire it instead. I disconnected the old wiring and didn't take the precaution to mark or note where they went. There are three wires going to the fan motor, red, blue, and green. I wired the two-phase light and it work correctly...when I tried to wire the fan motor it runs when I turn on the power but the switch doesn't work...the motor just keeps running until I disconnect the wires. I noticed a black and white wire and the red, blue and green wires. What am I doing wrong?
