I would like a circuit diagram for a Kleenmaid Cooktop Ch14 and an explanation of how the heat sensor under the glass top works weter it switches the active or otherwise. I have a dual element which now only the centre element heats when I turn the control knob either way. I have just fitted a new thermostat, originally the outer element was on all the time so I assumed that the contact in the thermostat was welded closed. The thermostat I fitted was not the same as the one I removed so am not totally sure of connections but was suppplied to me as a replacement it is an Invensys M82314. Old spark

There is a mouldy, earthy smell coming from our Jenn Air cooktop. This has been happening for a couple months now. What can we do about this? The vent doesn't seem clogged as it's examined from the outside.
