HP 12C went into scientific notation and will not come out of it

Somehow the display on my hp12c went into "scientific notation" and will not come out of scientific notation. Any ideas how to go back into non-scientific notation? The manual is mum on it...

The my 8 yrs old HP-48GX calc seems to work fine but the display is very faint and is barely visible. Is this repairable.

simple how do i change the decimal point from 1 to 6 then back to 2 also i have a comma instead of decimal, not really a problem but how do i change that also.? MINE is hp10b11 hope it is similar

My batteries were low, so my calculator was acting funny. I put new batteries in, and now I have 'BEGIN' on the display. I just want to perform general functions for now out to 4 decimal points. How do I get rid of this?
