I have an older model Ideal Mexico 2 floor standing open flue boiler running a fully pumped system. The central heating isn't working properly despite being flushed etc. The initial problem is still there which is that the return pipe to the boiler doesn't heat up, ie there is little or no flow. The pipe is encased in the concrete floor so there's either a blockage or air lock.... is there a way of bleeding air out of the boiler as I can't see anything myself? Cheers Joe

Annual maintenance for Rheem water heaters calls for removing and checking the anode rod. After some searching I found a 6-point 1-1/16 socket, but I can't turn the anode rod. Applying more leverage rotates the entire water heater. Would using an impact wrench risk damaging the water heater's glass lining?
