I purchased a memory stick which was pre loaded with 100 music tracks, the only indication of its... (More) I purchased a memory stick which was pre loaded with 100 music tracks, the only indication of its origin is a small note on the packaging " Manufactured and exclusively distributed by the KB Group UK". It can either be used via it's control buttons with earphones or on a computer by plugging into a USB port. I have used it for about a year via the USB port. Then last Sunday when I plugged it in I got the message " insert disc". If possible I would like to resolve this problem without losing the pre loaded tracks. The booklet says that there is sufficient spare capacity on the stick for more tracks to be loaded but I have not done this. Strangely a similar thing happened the following Wednesday with a completely different memory stick. This one fits into the dash board of my wife's car , a Chery, and plays through the radio and is loaded with music tracks as any memory stick on the computer. It had been loaded and used previously. My wife suggested that I should change the tracks to some Christmas music. I deleted the existing tracks and commenced reloading. Five tracks loaded successfully but during the sixth the message appeared that the destination address could not be found. I switched off removed then replaced the stick the message then appeared "J: is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.".. The same messages appeared for both sticks on other computers. I started my computer in safe mode and tried both sticks. The pre loaded stick still gave the message insert disc. The stick for the car opened normally and I deleted the sixth track. Re started the computer normally and played the tracks. Glitch cleared ? . Started to load another track with the same problem as before , cannot find destination address. Re started computer in safe mode, but this time the stick gave the message i/o error. Does the fact that these glitches occurred with two completely different memory sticks in a short space of time indicate a problem on the computer? I do use standard memory sticks frequently without problems. Can you help me cure the problems preferably without losing the pre loaded tracks on the first memory stick. I am using Windows XP with SP2 Thanking you for any assistance. Brian
