I have a 1999 (Goodman) GDT070-3A. Last night my girlfriend noticed
that the heat was not working, having used the status light to
troubleshoot problems last year, with the heating element or glow plug,
I was able to see 3 blinks of the light. After reading several
questions from her, and having disconnected the tube and checked bothe
ends for obstruction, I pulled the board off and checled the back it
looks as though is has shorted there is some black soot, but no bubling
of the board arriving at her hous ehtis morning the heat is working. It
shuts of when the thermostat is turned down and when it is turned back
up it fires right up no problemsa hot air, last night it wouldnt stay
lit and kept erroring out with three blinks,?????What gives???just
intermittent performance from a fried board or what why is it working
this morning???

I have a Worcester Bosch Ri boiler, Drayton digistat +3RF controller for the heating zone, and a Drayton LLP711 single channel wired controller for the hot water zone. zone control valves are SZM1801.The tank is a dual cct unit with solar panels for the initial water heating. The hot water and solar circuits work fine and have never played up. We have constant intermittent problems with the heating zone where the zone valve keeps turning off, killing the boiler burn and turning off the circulation pump. Even manually turning this to open causes it to close. We have been blaming the radio link but am now reasonably certain that this is working as the 'RF reciever' is showing green, indicating that it has got a request for heat. The radiators all seem to bleed water but it sounds like air is trapped in the main circulation pipes, will this cause the boiler to shut down and is this why the heating zone valve keeps closing? It seems that the system will work correctly 2 times out of 5.

Traditional water heaters use a storage tank to hold heated water until it is needed. They typically run off of natural gas, but electric and propane heaters are also common. In addition, tank less water heaters are available. They operate by routing water to where it needs to be instead of storing
