I am in doubdt whether to buy or not the following: A Canon EOS Rebel K2 SLR with Canon 28-90 EF for $75.00 and a Canon 75-300 EF f/4-5.6 for $80.00; a total of $155.00 Some people warned me tha I should wait until I can get more money and buy a Digtal SLR. I had some basic knowledge about photography and I am planning to take some photography course by mail, dvd or by e-mail. Please give your advice about the Canon camera and lenses and the photography course I should take. Thank you very much.

I recently disassembled my Lubitel to clean the front and back of the lenses. Ok I know the user manual says 'never disassemble your camera' but the lenses were pretty dusty inside...When I replaced the chamber I realised I had no idea where the Focusing Lens was originally set.The focusing will now only go up to 4 m so I know I need to disassemble and loosen the focusing ring again. Is there an accurate way of working out how far I should screw down the lens or is this a trail and error issue. Thanks for any tips or pointers!
