I have changed the batteries and the main battery but my calculator still will not stay on the screen turns black then turns off. help

Is there a simple away to permanently change the format that answers are displayed in from fractions to decimals, without having to press the S<=>D key after every calculation?

I used to be able to enter numbers and it would set the decimal point after the last 2 numbers automatically. It won't do that now unless I press the decimal point. How do I fix it?

I purchased the TI-35 Plus hand-held calculator years ago. I dropped it, the batteries popped out and now it won't turn on. I think it may be the battery contacts. Can it be repaired?

my work book tells me to use the "plus equal" key for certin equations...problem is...there isn't one! im using a casio DR-T220...is there another way to get the same effect as the "plus equal button? and if so...how?
