I have the 55154 version. It takes numerous attempts to start, It also doesn't always kick in at the low pressure psi. In addition it starts best with no pressure in the tax. Your thoughts?

I have a Kobalt 15 lb. 1 phase 175 psi 1.3 hp, 120v, 15 amp, model 215902 VPK1381509 air compressor that either had no or someone removed, before I got it, the power cord. I cannot find anywhere to connect another one. The on/off pressure switch has only one set of terminals that have the blk and white wire from the motor connected to it. is something missing like a terminal or can I splice the cord in with the pressure switch?
