Any schematics available for a APC Back-UPS Pro 650PNP? I installed a new battery (yes correct polarity) and smelled a little smoke. It was unplugged during the battery swap. I took the cover off but didn't see anything obvious. It will turn on and then shuts right down.

My APC UPS XS900 is claiming (via PowerChute) that the battey unit is disconnected, despite the fact I checked for the connectivity. It is fully charged, and the battery is no more than 6 months old. The origin of the issue was a quick blackout, lasting no more than a second, which knocked out my computer while it was on. I've muted the alarm (it was 2 beeps every 2 seconds) because it refused to stop, even while my computer was powered down. My computer and all its components are running fine, so there is no noticable issue spanning greater than some sort of fault within the UPS itself. I want to know how to make my UPS unit recognize a battery is in fact connected.
