Twin Cam engines are NOT my expertise but in all other Harley engines, the timing mark that you time the cam with has nothing to do with top dead center position of the crankshaft. There is a specific
timing on a Twin Cam because I don't work on them. I do work on all Harley's prior to the Twin Cam. With that being said, the way we'd do it on an Evo engine is remove the timing plug on the left side
NO Compression No compression, not good. In your twin cam, I'd suspect something to do with the cams. Timing chain broken or they have jumped timing. My best guess. Good Luck Steve
