speedometer stop working my alternator stopped working and the gauges went crazy and car shut down and cut off. replaced the alternator, started it up and drove it but ,speedometer didn't work

speedometer is not cable controled, it's controled by a sensor in your transmission. It's a easy fix, but the new sensor is about $80 to $100 depending on where you get it. get your alternator checked
