why it came off. that means the window regulator assembly needs to be replaced there is not way to fix the same and if you do it it will come of again so just get a new window regulator and replace it
mercury had a problem with the window motors going out. They are not too bad to replace but you need a rivet gun that shoots large rivets. Have a glass shop replace it you will be money and time ahead
