have them check out the electrical system. I
would suspect loose battery or grounding connections (easy)
or a bad battery (normal occurrence by the
rear defogger? If so, the battery might need to be replaced,
or it just isn't being charged by a bad alternator.

Seems the design has issues with intake manifold gaskets. Mine were
replaced at 38k due to leaking anti-freeze. Others I've asked with this
120k miles on the car. Only
problem I saw was the battery, it had to be replaced every two years!
Perhaps the heat more...
