2004 XJ8 Sometimes the A/C fan motor wont blow.After driving for a while it comes back on some XJ 6 and 8 have electrical problems,maybe your switch has problem.

I cannot get the heat to turn off. Since it is now close to 90 here, it is very uncomfortable. SOUND LIKE PROBLEM IN THE HEATER CONTROL MODE SWITCH FAULTY OR HEATER AIR DOOR OR MOTOR FAULTY.
