2005 Honda Odyssey "rpm" Questions

My 2004 Odyssey at 1000 to 1500 rpm will growl and the tach will fluctuate quickly. If we raise the rpm at higher speeds it does not happen. Local dealer cannot resolve the issue...its driving us nuts
