Most common vacuum leak is the vacuum regulator. I reccomend replacing it along with the 4 hoses that go to it, they often break upon removal. A smoke machine works great for checking for vacuum leaks

vacuum modulator. It is a little well usually next to the EGR. Pop the cap off and dust the little sponge inside. Sometimes this gets stuffed up with carbon particles and causes recirculation problems
